Purpose

Capture the product idea and confirm that it is worth pursuing.

Entry criteria

• A product idea exists
• There is a basic business or product motivation

Required inputs

• Problem statement
• Intended users or stakeholders
• High-level success criteria

Activities

• Capture the idea clearly
• Identify the likely scope and risks
• Decide whether to proceed to requirements

Engineering responsibilities

• Keep the idea documented enough for downstream planning

AI-agent responsibilities

• Summarize the idea if requested
• Avoid inventing implementation details that do not exist yet

Validation

• The idea is understandable enough to move forward

Exit criteria

• The idea is accepted for requirements work
